Year-round Events
In Illinois, there are Special Olympics competitions happening at the local Area level, regional level, and at the state level throughout the year. In addition, there are fundraising events at both the state and Area levels that help support programming for nearly 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 4,000 Young Athletes ages 2-7 with and without intellectual disabilities in Illinois.
Fundraising Events
Each of our 18 Area programs raises money to support the local program with the help of hundreds of volunteers as well as key committee members. To support the events in your local Area, please see your local Area page on this website. In addition, there are a number of statewide fundraising events that support the statewide program.
